Binary Multiplication

w7r.blogspot.com

Binary Multiplication is just like "regular" decimal (base 10) multiplication. The equations below are the four arrangements of binary multiplication of 1 bit. A bit is a binary digit.
  • 1 * 1 = 1
  • 1 * 0 = 0
  • 0 * 1 = 0
  • 0 * 0 = 0

Multiplication of binary numbers that contain more than one bit can be done the same way we would multiply decimal numbers by hand.
