The Mysterious Black and White Box Everywhere

QR stands for Quick Response Code, which in simple terms is used to identify items, like prices and messages. Wiki It By Clicking Here

Quick Response code is just like a bar code:

The QR is "two dimensional" (it has horizontal and vertical markings). Like so:

I guess you could call it a box code instead a bar code. They were originally being used in the automotive industry, but have grown in popularity, so much so, that it would not be far fetched to think it may be a new standard for labeling merchandise and items.
